Footprints Center for Autism celebrates #GivingTuesday with our #SuperSensorySupports Campaign, joining millions around the world participating in the global generosity movement on December 1st, 2020.
#GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world.
#GivingTuesday will kick off the generosity this season by inspiring people to give back on December 1, 2020 and throughout the year.
Many of our friends and followers know that children with autism often have accompanying sensory issues that make it difficult for them to feel regulated and ready to learn. Here at Footprints Center for Autism, we value the importance of sensory input and provide as many resources as possible for our students to help them be successful.
Since we opened in 2018, our program has grown by leaps and bounds- and so has our need for specialized tools and equipment to help our students learn and grow. This year for #GivingTuesday, we are launching a #SuperSensorySupports Campaign, to raise $2,000 to purchase some of our wish-list sensory items!
We will use the funds raised to purchase items such as a 2-in-1 Frog Swing ($289.00), a peanut therapy ball ($69.99), two SpinsationZ rotations boards ($200.00 each), a wobble stool ($80.00), etc. To see our full sensory wish list, click HERE.
This equipment will play a vital role in assisting the therapists and interventionists at FCA in carrying out the organization’s mission to provide comprehensive, collaborative, and child-centered programming. Having access to the type of input that these therapy items can provide is often a key part of the sensory plans put in place by licensed therapists to help with a child’s regulatory needs. This input also helps children more effectively attend to a task once this sensory need has been met.
You can donate anytime between now and December 1st- every donation counts!
